Out of the Darkness
Like me, many of us have struggled through the past few days. This dark political monstrosity is hanging over my head like a black cloud. The election results have been an utter shock to my senses and has left me wondering about the path that our nation is headed towards. Will we rise out of the darkness or spin out of control, deeper into this newly dug hole? Landed in Kyoto
My trip to Kyoto still lingers on my mind, even years later. It is one of the most alluring and serene places on the planet. Hauntingly beautiful. This watercolor painting based on my memory of a single moment, calms and gives me peace. This print is available here.

Radish Experiment
Last summer after my move to Chicago, I started making regular trips to farmers markets and was awe struck with the different varieties of radishes. They are so vibrant and come in beautiful shades of purple, red and pink. Not to mention that they are delicious and pleasantly bitter. I noticed while cleaning them, their dye would wash away in the sink. So I decided to experiment and created splatter swatches that I can scan and use as texture in my artwork. Here is the result.
